Even the PC is Getting Too Old
When win98 refused to boot up even in safe mode, I knew that something must have gone real bad. There was only one option (2 if including a complete re-install). Thanks to the good ol' DOS. I tried 'scanreg-restore'. Figures crossed. Win98 was up and running again.
Bumped into this very beautiful blog the other day, the graphics and the layouts are very well done. I liked the fish picture - it?s a family dish my kids would love to have . The way we cook and serve fishes tend to put off many westerners. Be it in a top class Chinese restaurant or a typical meal at home, the best fish dish is always served in that style ? a whole fish with its head and tail intact. We do have fillets but ordering a fish fillet dish in a top class Chinese restaurant is very much like ordering a carafe of house wine - it is wine and it is red but that's about it.
I had a small collection of wines. A few of them were pretty good: a Chateau Cheval Blanc 88, a Chateau Margaux 86 & 90 and a Chateau Gruaud-Larose 90. I guess some of them would perhaps cost over 2000 euro a bottle by now. Red wine is one of those funny things for which people are willing to pay a hefty price but which only offers a moment of pleasure. Glad I have quit drinking now or I would have killed my wife for leaving them all behind.
Did some more reading on SQL in the office today. It's harder to comprehend than VBSripts. I think I maybe too ambitious in my current pursuit. I will give it a few more days and if I can't set up a small working database in the server by this weekend, I will give up.
